We were called upon by a very well renowned vet requesting for us to record a very rare operation to be performed on a tiny puppy.
Whilst we are very used to filming intricate medical procedures, never before had we worked in a veterinary theatre.
The principles were the same, capturing medical monitors, multiple cameras, remote cameras etc, The procedure was broadcasted via a fully produced/mixed feed to a meeting room within the complex allowing staff to view this in real time. This was also recorded to be shared to help educate others. There was only one other recording of this particular procedure in existence but there was a need to record this in high quality.
The quality of our images and our production was appreciated by all involved. This initial case has opened many more doors for the capture of rare and important procedures for the purpose of conferencing, training and education.

Below is a testimonial from the Veterinary Surgeon who led the medical team for this case:
“Having a rare opportunity to perform a rare operation with a great teaching potential where I could look to get the whole event recorded. The filming had to be unobtrusive so I could perform with accuracy. My nursing team had to move freely in a small theatre, monitoring of the dog’s vital statistics was critical as this was thoracic heart surgery. Also I needed not to be stressed by the film crew as patient comes first.
Looking back on the event I couldn’t have had a better team than Mediview ,every single demand was met with ease. Their thought in set up and their remote camera views were outstanding. In fact during the op I hardly knew they were there.
I would highly recommend Mediview‘s professional approach. They captured the whole event for me even down to linking to our anaesthetic monitor. Thank you Mediview, a great team.”
