For nearly a decade, MediviewHD has had the privilege of collaborating with the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS) to orchestrate their renowned Spring and Autumn conferences. They represent a significant part of our annual calendar, and here’s why each event feels just a little more special than the last.
The Symphony of Set, Staging, and Signage
Our journey with each SBNS conference begins long before the attendees arrive. In the main conference room, we construct a modern truss stage complete with a wide 16:9 projection screen and elegant set panels. The attention to detail is meticulous—custom SBNS gobos (lighting stencils) are crafted to illuminate the set panels with the client’s logo, creating an atmosphere of professionalism and prestige.
Parallel to this, in the Parallel Room, the stage set mirrors the event’s colour scheme with majestic blue lighting, ensuring consistency and thematic continuity throughout the venue.
Delivering Full AV Solutions
Our commitment to delivering a flawless auditory and visual experience is unwavering. Full graphics, state-of-the-art lighting, and comprehensive audio setups are installed and rigorously tested by our dedicated technicians. Our team operates behind the scenes, ensuring every technical aspect performs without a hitch during the event.
The Speaker Ready Room
One of the critical areas we manage is the Speaker Ready Room. This fully networked hub is where we coordinate with speakers to run through presentations and media content, ensuring comfort with the material and fluency in delivery. It’s here that potential technical issues are ironed out, guaranteeing that talks proceed smoothly.
Innovating with Talking Slides Plus
Following the formal AGM, the annual awards ceremony took a virtual turn this year. Using the same setup as the AGM, the ceremony was led live by the president. Nominees were placed in a virtual green room, ready to step onto the virtual main stage for their acceptance speeches. This material was later edited and uploaded to the custom SBNS Talking Slides website, allowing for revisits or first-time views for those unable to attend.
Beyond the Conference: The Gala Dinner and Exhibition Assistance
Our involvement extends beyond the conference room. For the gala dinner, we spec and set up full aesthetic lighting and a hi-fidelity PA system, creating an enchanting atmosphere for attendees. As for the exhibition, we meticulously prepare by drawing up floor plans, marking out stands, and ensuring all exhibitors have the necessary resources, well ahead of the event.
